Graham completed the Puppy Primer and 21 Days Board and Train Program. During the program Chris kept us updated on Grahams progress by text, pictures, and videos. Chris/Asheville Dog Academy provided Graham and us the tools to be successful in any environment. We now enjoy outing with our dog without having to worry about his behavior. We recommend Chris and Asheville Dog Academy to everyone.

September 6, 2019Asheville Dog Academy transformed our nervous, highly energetic dog into a dog that understands now how to control herself and be more confident. She couldn't sit still, was obsessed with our other dog, counter surfing, and while she was clearly very smart, we couldn't figure out how to get her to retain anything. We didn't know how to communicate with her. We did the 21 day board and train and are continuing the have follow-up lessons - which are more for the humans than the dogs. Without these, training would quickly go out the window and these are SO valuable for educating and keeping us accountable so we can set our dog up for success. She stays on her place for 1+ hour at a time without making a fuss, walking loosely on a leash, is okay with approaching new places, and is able to control herself. She's truly a transformed dog and is thriving with the structure and training from ADA. Oh - and they send picture and videos updates about every other day which was super reassuring to see her and the progress!!

February 18, 2020When it comes to working with, training, and just understanding dogs, Chris is a genius! (And I don't use that word lightly.) First the $: We are a solidly middle class family, and I seriously wondered if paying for a trainer would be worth it. (After all, it's just a dog!) After going through the Basic and Advanced Training I can say with total sincerity that training with Chris is worth EVERY single penny! Drawing from his vast knowledge and wisdom about dogs, Chris got us through the very stressful first 2 weeks of potty and crate training. He responded to texts and calls right away and reassured us every step of the way. Chris has a systematic method to training that I could replicate at home. Chris gives clear exercises to do at home and they build on each other in a way that makes everyone successful! When you work with Chris you immediately see that he loves dogs. He was able to quickly see Ollie's unique personality and work with me to train Ollie in the way that would give Ollie both confidence and obedience. If you want to happily and successfully train your dog -- I highly recommend Chris and the Asheville Dog Academy!

Chris is outstanding...he trained our 6 month old "wild man" golden doodle for three weeks and returned our dog behaving better than most mature dogs. We have always wanted a dog that was well trained and he did it for us! We are able to take our dog everywhere and are complemented on his behavior. My wife wants to send me away for 3 weeks with Chris to see if he can whip me into shape. We recommend Chris to anyone that wants world class training for their best friend. The Selmensberger Family

March 26, 2019I can’t say enough good things, just go see Chris and hire him to train your dogs. The board and train may seem expensive at first glance, but it’s worth every penny!!!! Your dog will obey you better which will make you happy and you will reward them more and enjoy interacting with them in a whole new way which will make your dog happy. From the first time we met, it was clear that Chris cares greatly for the dogs he works with. After we picked her up, he took plenty of time to sit down with us and “train” us on everything that he had worked with Bella on. And if that wasn’t enough, he also scheduled follow up appointments for us to come back and practice things some more with Bella and him. Chris takes pride in his work, and stands behind what he promises. He is straight forward and will tell you what things the dog needs to work on and what things us parents need to work on. He’s not going to sugar coat it, he’s going to tell you what is best for you and your dog. If we rescue any other puppies in the future, Chris will be our first call!

September 29, 2019Chris did an amazing job with our goldendoodle "The Dude". Before training, we had a sweet - but completely out of control - goldendoodle that dragged us around when on a leash and would literally flip himself over trying to reach people walking down the street! Now, people marvel at how well-behaved he is. He heels perfectly, stays and comes when called, and we are now able to take The Dude anywhere we go. We get to finally enjoy our life with him, and he gets to enjoy every moment too. We couldn’t be more grateful to Chris, and we wholeheartedly recommend the Asheville Dog Academy's 21-day board and train!

Amazing. Amazing results! Our dog is totally obidient . He stays in place, heels while walking, comes back when called. Chris is a great trainer who made our dog obeying all our commands on the first day out. Money well spent! Thank you Chris. Pure magic. I don’t know how it is possible! I would recommend extremely strongly - sign up your dog , you will be surprised how much your dog will learn. It totally exceeded my expectations.

September 21, 2019Chris has been training our French Brittany puppy Ranger for the last 6 weeks. It is amazing how much Ranger has learned, not to mention how much my wife Debby and I have! Chris is a Great trainer and communicator. We have continued puppy classes for a 3rd three week session and will move into Obedience training when Ranger is 5 months old. We highly recommend Asheville Dog Academy, Chris is helping us acheive our goal of raising a Happy, Friendly and Well Mannered canine citizen.

April 12, 2019We adopted our lab mix, Cooper, when he was 6 months old and we were both still in school. When we brought him home he was so sweet but skittish and scared. After completing the basic and advanced training with Chris, Cooper has become confident, loving and full of energy. We were concerned we wouldn’t be able to afford training and if we could we weren’t sure it would be worth the money, as we’re students, but we would HAPPILY pay over and over again to get the results we did. Would recommend Asheville Dog Academy to anyone who wants to feel comfortable taking their furry companion in to any type of situation. Whether we’re going hiking, going to eat downtown, or hanging out with friends and their dogs I’m confident Cooper will behave and that we have the tools to help him do so.
